Experience Unreality

An Introduction to Virtual Reality
27 August 2016, 11:00am to 4:00pm

Artist and technologist, Charles Gershom, will be introducing the future of virtual reality in a free workshop for people aged 15-25 years old. Participants will “experience unreality and learn how to create a virtual world” using a full-scale interactive VR system to create content, with a video of their piece to take away.

This is the first in a series of artist-led events culminating in the ‘GLITCH’ free festival weekend at the gallery in October. Objects created during the session will form part of the an exhibition to be held during the gallery’s ‘festival season’ which begins at LLAWN - Llandudno Arts Weekend – from 23rd September.

The workshop is free for people aged 15-25 years.

Circuit is a four-year national programme connecting 15-25 year olds to the arts in galleries and museums working in partnership with the youth and cultural sector. Led by Tate and funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, it provides opportunities for young people to steer their own learning and create cultural activity across art disciplines.
