Shezad Dawood works across media such as film, painting, neon, sculpt and, more recently, virtual reality to deconstruct systems of image, language, site and narrative. Using the editing process as a method to explore both meanings and forms, his practice often involves collaboration and knowledge exchange, mapping across geographic borders and communities. Through a fascination with the esoteric, otherness and science-fiction, Dawood interweaves histories, realities and symbolism to create richly layered artworks.

This exclusive print edition takes as its motif the opening juxtaposition of the film 'Towards the Possible Film'. As with most of his work it provides an overlay of meaning, pulling in two directions at once: the worlds of capital and the mystical. Thus it presents the totemic figure of the jaguar, which is also a predator, and the pyramid, which is both a beacon to the stars and the City of London's beacon of commerce, Canary Wharf.

MOSTYN is a charity registered in the UK and proceeds from the sales of the editions will be invested back into the gallery's exhibition and engagement programme.
