MOSTYN stands against racism
Resources and links
MOSTYN stands against racism and in solidarity with all those who continue to suffer racist violence, oppression and injustice.
We continue to strive in our commitment to diversity and equality. It is essential that we, as an institution and as individuals, ensure that systemic change happens, not just in the US but in the UK and across the world.
Statement Update: 9 July 2020
We recently issued a statement in support of the global Black Lives Matter protest movement and our commitment to standing firmly against racism.
We wish to express our continued support towards the movement and to signal our commitment to ensuring that MOSTYN stands as an anti-racist institution.
The dismantling of racism and anti-blackness is a collective responsibility and, within the cultural sector, this starts with organisations.
We are committed to inclusivity and equality and we recognise the urgent need for change, not only in our programme, but in our staff and board membership and in our policies and processes. We will aim to ensure ensure to create a safe and open space for multiple voices within our organisation.
We are engaging in discussions internally, and with other peer organisations and activist groups, to reflect, listen and learn. We are working towards a clear action plan to ensure that necessary changes are implemented, and which we will issue in due course.
We welcome an open dialogue on this matter and encourage you to get in touch via [email protected]
