Portffolio: artist-led masterclass for 14-18 yr olds

11.00am - 5.00pm

This workshop will introduce students to working from a model. It will teach the fundamentals of drawing and how this discipline benefits artists working in all other art forms. Students will be looking at how to measure and create the illusion of form by drawing both accurately and expressively.

£12.50 per workshop or £50 for five workshops (to follow).

All materials are provided and are included in the cost.

About Jonathan Brier 

A self-taught oil painter from Yorkshire now living in North Wales, Jonathan is a part-time life drawing and oil painting tutor.
Each of Jonathan’s sessions is a stand-alone workshop but it is recommended that attendance at the life drawing class will very much benefit those attending the 'Painting the Figure' session the following week.

What is Portffolio?

MOSTYN’S Portffolio programme is part of Criw Celf, an Arts Council Wales funded initiative for young people with a passion for the visual arts. Aimed at students in Conwy aged between 14 and 18, the programme sets out to nurture and support more able and talented students.

Experienced artists from a range of disciplines will share their work and help you develop your skills in exploring materials and techniques you may not have used before. There will be opportunities for you to discuss your work and develop your personal portfolio.
