Participants will learn about haiku and other Japanese poetic forms. There will then be an opportunity to write one haiku and one form beyond haiku.

Dr DeAnn Bell is a writer and lecturer in creative writing. She is addicted to books, cats and learning new things. She is a member of the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Her most recent publications include her poem ‘Margery Kempe: A Problematic Autobiography’ and her short story ‘Blind Date’ in the
speculative fiction anthology Normal Deviation.
