Weaving Between the Lines
Pupils from Ysgol Tudno in Llandudno are proud to present an exhibition, entitled ‘Weaving Between the Lines’, which takes place on Saturday April 30th and Sunday May 1st at the school in Trinity Avenue.
The ‘pop up’ exhibition is the result of an artist in residence project, as part of an ongoing partnership with us called MOSTudno. There will be activites during the weekend.
Taking inspiration from the exhibition by Cuban-born artist Diango Hernández on view in MOSTYN's Gallery 3, two writers, Martin Daws and Heather Dyer, and two artists, Tim Dickinson and Mandy Coates, have worked alongside children from Year 5. They have produced work together offering individual responses to the artwork of Hernández.
MOSTudno is a partnership project between MOSTYN and local primary school Ysgol Tudno. This is the second presentation in a long-term collaborative project.
The partnership, funded by Arts Council of Wales and entitled MOSTudno, will see artists and gallery staff working alongside children, staff, parents and grandparents. One of the key aims of this first project in the partnership is that pupils at the school, and the larger school community, will be given the opportunity to engage with the process that an artist follows in order to create a body of work.
There will be an official opening of the exhibition at the school at 11am on Saturday April 30th. Everyone is welcome.
