Diango Hernandez
MOSTYN is proud to present the first solo exhibition, in a UK institution, by
Comprising old and new works, and drawing upon the artist’s experiences whilst growing up in Cuba, Hernandez’s exhibition imbues those experiences with a Western perspective.
The show includes, amongst others, a site-specific wall mural; a series of fruit sculptures and reclaimed furniture; works on canvas and offset printed paper; and a fragile construction of rusted steel - a numerical representation of the years 1959 to 2008 in descending order.
The exhibition is produced in collaboration with Marlborough Contemporary, London and Federico Luger Gallery, Milan. It is curated by Alfredo Cramerotti (MOSTYN, Director).
