History Series

History Series

The History Series is a sequence of shows that investigates the rich heritage of the MOSTYN building and the surrounding area, and uses that history as starting points for the making of exhibitions today.

All of the exhibitions in the series, which began in 2013, present historical artefacts and images, and place them in dialogue with artworks by contemporary artists.

The driving principles behind the series came out of a desire to make stronger connections with our local audience and to develop new ways of making and presenting exhibitions.

Follow the links below to find out more about each exhibition, and associated engagement events.

The History Series of exhibitions is funded by The National Lottery through the Arts Council of Wales, and Heritage Lottery Fund.
